A Snowmobile Safari is by far the most exiting way to move through the breathtaking Lappish landscape. It is an experience unlike any other and it is one of these must's when visiting Levi!

All safari's offered by us consist of small groups under supervision of an experienced guide that will coach you and watch over your safety.

The safari organiser will provide you with thermal overalls, boots, gloves, helmets, extensive instruction and all other necessities to make your trip memorable in the most positive way. All you need to bring is warm clothing and your drivers license! There are a number of programmes to choose from, depending on the skill level and interests of the guests:

1. Once Around the Levi Fell

Over the ice of the Ounasjoki river, continuing between the river and the mountain, we make a stopover at a reindeerfarm where we have a chance to meet the reindeer, and have coffee and cakes. We complete our circle of the Levi fell through the forest and back to Immeljärvi lake.
Length: 35 km or 3 hours
Difficulty: Easy
Minimum group size: 5
Availability: every day, booking to be made latest 1 day upfront
Price: € 100 per person, including coffee and cakes

2. Men-only Superspeed Safari

For those real speed lovers. We only stop for coffee!
Length: 2-3 hours
Difficulty: Medium (suitable for beginners)
Minimum group size: 5
Availability: Tuesdays and Thursdays, by appointment possible on other days
Price: € 135 per person, including coffee and cakes, extra hours possible at
€ 60 per person per hour

3. Ladies-only Safari

The same route as the men-only safari, but at a more relaxed pace.
Length: 2-3 hours
Difficulty: Medium (suitable for beginners)
Minimum group size: 5
Availability: Wednesdays
Price: € 135 per person, including coffee and cakes, extra hours possible at
€ 60 per person per hour

4. Levi - Pöntsö and vice versa

From Levi we go North to Pöntsö village where we stop at the gallery and atelier of the wellknown Lappish artist Reijo Raekallio. Here we have coffee. Lunch is optional (not included in the price) and also there is a possibillity to enjoy a real Lappish smoke sauna (not included, to be booked upfront!). On the way back we stop at Luvattumaa to learn the infamous skiboot dance.

5. Isko's Teepee-food

We have a wonderful drive to somewhere in the middle of the nature where we enjoy a traditional Lappish dinner, roasted over an open fire.
Length: 95 kms or 5,5 hours
Difficulty: medium (suitable for beginners)
Minimum group size: 5

Price:
€ 210 per person: including reindeer or salmon soup, coffee and cakes
€ 235 per person: including grilled reindeer or salmon, Lappish cheese with cranberries

6. Experience Nature - Lapland Adventure

A playfull team happening: a very exiting trip to the roots of Lapland: the home land of the trolls! Here starts our competition with a variety of assignments, like building a teepee, cooking food, ice fishing, etc. Sauna and ice-swimming are also possibilities. This is a real teambuilding trip where the team does everything by its own hands!
Length: one whole day or night
Difficulty: medium (suitable for beginners)
Minimum group size: 8
Availability: by appointment, to be made one week upfront
Price:
€ 350 per person for the daytime version, € 425 for the nighttime version

Important Notice: Taking part in a snowmobile safari is subject to additional terms and conditions provided to the guest by the safari organiser. All drivers must be minimum 18 years of age and must show a valid drivers license. There is zero tolerance for alcohol use before or during the safari. Drivers that do not follow the instructions of the guide may be refused the use of the snowmobile without restitution.
